DIY - Mason Jar Centerpiece
This centerpiece adds a little more "oomph" to your traditional mason jars with flowers centerpiece. By adding a few details to the jars, it really brings in the overall feel of the wedding to the tables. This is a pretty simple project and could fairly easily be completed by even the not so crafty of us.
How to create this project:
All of the materials can be found at any craft store:
- Thick twine
- Ribbon
- Burlap flower (this you can also create by hand with fabric if preferable)
1. Start with three different sized mason jars, one large, one small and one medium (a sort of Goldilocks effect)
2. On the large jar begin with a thick twine and hot glue or super glue the end of the twine to the jar. Then begin wrapping the twine around the jar until you have about two inches of the jar covered in twine. Hot glue or super glue the end of the twine to the jar. The next step is to take a piece of ribbon and wrap it around the center of where you wrapped the twine and glue the ribbon in place. Take your burlap flower and glue this on top of the ribbon.
3. On the medium jar begin with the thick twine and hot glue or super glue the end of the twine to the jar. Begin to wrap it around the jar until you have about one inch of the jar covered in twine. Hot glue or super glue the end of the twine to the jar. Take a piece of ribbon and wrap it tightly around the jar crisscrossing it a few times (make sure to have the ribbon tight or it will not stay in place) once you have it wrapped several times tie a knot in the ribbon to hold it in place.
4. On the small jar start with the thick twine and wrap it around the jar once then just tie a knot at the end. Take a piece of your ribbon and tie it on top of the twine to add some color.
That's it, pretty quick and simple. Feel free to contact me with questions.
